Insect eating in Switzerland and the Arab world
In times of food poverty, global warming and
increased environmental awareness the search for solutions is
more urgent then ever before. One direction is to change our
food behaviour and to use insects as a vital protein resource.
Many people do face a psychological barrier to eat insects,
we do not have a culture and experience in Europe of eating
insects and we do not have the appropriate products available
today in Switzerland and many parts of the Arab world.
Recently there was a change in opinion in the Swiss
parliament on the topic and there is more interest
by the public then ever before.
